Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores during an Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was just six years old. Comaneci participated for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. Following that, she became champion. At her first international meet that was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. When she competed for the first time at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals as well with one silver. In 1976, she became the first person in the world to utilize a reversed double salto to dismount from the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in entertainment during her teenage years, when she performed as the figure skating duo of the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in the entertainment business when she was in her teens. At the age of 13 she was a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows were ice skating performances that were performed to music from the stage.
